The Bluegill Boomer
Tip:
Bluegill wil mostly go after anything that looks good and might taste good. They will go after anything that they are intrested in which is almost anything that moves. Worms, corn, crappie jigs, and even bare hooks can catch a Bluegill.

Tip:
Bass will go after anything that moves, looks, and smells good. So try to get noisy and colorful bait. To really get them biting, put on some kind of scent.

Cold Water Bass In North Ga
Tip:
I have fished my share of the smaller ponds in northwest GA. I have found some pretty affective ways to fish them. I have found out in cold water conditions drop shooting and slow jigging work really well. I prefer to use a 4 to 6" lizard, finesse worm, or a grub. Slow retrieve seems to work well and bouncing off the bottom works very well also. In the warmer water I like to use a 4 to 6" lizard a little bit of a fast retrieve(faster than cold water) and drop shooting works good with lizards, grubs, and all kinda creatures with arms legs that move a lot. All worms about any color but bright red.

Worm Fishing
Tip:
Take any of your rubber worms and make a small slit with a razor blade. Than take some Alka Selzer and break up in small pieces. Take a small piece and place in the slit of the worm. This seems to attract Bass and makes worm fishing a lot more interesting.

Weedguards
Tip:
When fishing jigs with the heavy weedguards, you tend to not get the best hookset. If you have this problem, take a pair of braid clippers and cut off about half of the strands of the weedguard. Then trim the remaining strands to the size of the hook.

Slop Fishin
Tip:
Whenever fishing for largemouths in the slop with a topwater frog, always sharpen your hooks. Also, always keep a backup soft plastic bait ready to pitch back into a missed strike. If you've got it rigged and ready to go on a back-up rood/reel, then you can get it in there fast enough to pick that strike back up!

Scissors For Superbraid
Tip:
A pair of children's scissors are great for trimming the tag end of your superbraid lines. If you have trouble cutting the line with the scissors, then simply place the cutting edge of one leg of the scissors flat on a medium stone, and stroke it in one direction. Do this on the other leg as well, and the scissors should be razor sharp for cutting the line without any problem.

Carolina Rigging Revisited
Tip:
Carolina rigging isnt just for deeper water, it can be used in the spring for spawning fish, with a lighter weight, and my favorite bait is the new 3x lizard from strike king

Superglue Is Super!
Tip:
Keep a small bottle of superglue handy in your boat or in your vest; it is incredibly useful for many things during a day of fishing including:
·Repairing a soft plastic lure, or creating a new creature bait on the fly
·Assuring a soft plastic won't slide down a jig head
·Locking a line-to-line connection
When I use a Jigworm, it always helps to put a small spot of superglue on the shank, and then the worm never slides down the hook again!

Catfish Bait
Tip:
Go to your local feed store that sells dog food and stuff or horse hay and get a bag of "Milo Maize" it's like a seed and put enough seed to fill about half of a 5 gallon bucket and fill it with water and about 4 or so beers and put a top on it and sit in the sun (stir it up about once a week) and in about a month or so of sitting in the sun fermenting take some to the lake or inshore and throw a cup of it in the water and let the catfish BITE, they love this stuff, and just a word of advise keep it covered it stinks and if you get it on your skin the smell will stay on your skin a little while even after washing your hands, but it works well for any catfish.
