Letting The Rod Do The Work...
Tip:
Spinfisherman and baitcasters can throw their line with greater distance and accuracy by leaving half a rod's length of line haning from the rod tip when casting. This extra length causes the rod tip to flex deeper when the cast is made, generating more power from the rod with less effort from the wrist and arm. The reduced physical exertion allows for better hand-eye coordination. WarEagle

When Bass Won't Hit That Rainy Day Spinner.
Tip:
When bass refuse to belt that rainy day spinnerbait, they may be guarding beds and unwilling to chase the lure. While it is harder to the beds through the rain- rippled surface, this means the bass will also have trouble seeing you. This makes them less inclined to spook and more likely to bite. Try tossing a Texas rigged Tube, my favorite is the Sqworm Tackle 4" Watermelon colored, on heavy line into the bedding areas. The heavy line helps you wrestle bass out of the nasty bedding areas that they are hanging tight to. WarEagle

Taking A Spin In The Rain!
Tip:
Largemouths will charge spinnerbaits from just about any cover, but they tend to show a preference on any given day. Find out where the bass are holding and then focus your efforts accordingly. You should probe shallow grass beds, boat docks, stumps, flooded bushes, the limbs of fallen trees and any other available cover until the bass tell you where to fish for them. WAREAGLE

Tips On Using Some Worms
Tip:
Throw a centipede style worm with no weight and let it sink slowly then slowly work it back using the rod to lift the worm about a foot at a time.

Twiching Top Water Flies
Tip:
I usually fly fish with top water flies and with those I let them sit four about 30 seconds. I twitch it a few times the let it sit and if I get no strikes then i pick it up and move it.

Tackle Boxes
Tip:
Store worms and other soft-plastic baits in a "worm-proof" container away from other lures. This will prevent the chemical reaction that can happen when soft plastics and baits of other materials are stored together.

Ruined Reels
Tip:
When fishing for saltwater fish do not ever use your everyday freshwater pole. The salt in the water will make it hard to reel in fish. Also it can ruin your reels

Jerkin For Smallies.
Tip:
When fishing for early season smallmouth, few lures work better than a suspending bait. The principle difference between suspending baits and all others is the capability to freeze in place and hover. Since jerkbaits outfish look -alike minnowbaits 10 to 1 most days during early spring, it is likely that suspense is the key (In-Fisherman 1-05) .

Catfish Need To Eat Their Breakfast Too...
Tip:
This is for any catfish really. In still water, instead of Styrofoam, try Corn Pops Cereal. Slide a few over a Circle Hook, and then dip them in your favorite dip bait. It's a killer.

Catch 10+ Pound Bass Easily
Tip:
If you are fishing a lake that holds big bass, and you're allowed to use bluegill as bait, you can often catch multiple giant bass, sometimes a catfish, in one fishing session. But with my experience the bass just love live bluegill. The way I rig them is just a hook, no weight or float, and I hook the bluegill through the nose. Works like magic!
