Report:
On the water by 6:30 am hit the island area but no bite. We went on down the lake a ways and found another island that was close to the shore. There was a lot more cover than the first island and it looked like a great place for bass. We were using rubber lizards and shallow diving Rapala lures. We tossed the lures up to the brush and was getting a lot of hits on the plugs when they were on the top water but we could not hook one. We tied on a black rubber lizard and ended up catching 3 largemouths in one area. We also had a large gar come up and bite the tail off of the rubber lizard which was interesting.
