Report:
Hot and Sticky and you should have seen the weather. Thunderstorms brewing but they stayed away until I got a chance to hit the little park on the west side if Indy. I was there for a few minutes, and low and behold another member of our Tri State Fishing Club pulled in. Paul Bridegroom. I started chucking the Rebel Crickhopper that I had on and picked up a couple of the 2 million bluegills that were swimming around. A couple of guys and a couple of kids were walking the bank picking real nice largemouths off their beds. Mostly dropping nightcrawlers in and anything else they could find to make them strike. And they were keeping everything they caught. I was unhappy, and not quiet about it. It didn't seem to matter much. I pulled the TriFecta with the Rebel. I caught a bluegill, crappie and largemouth on it. Paul showed and threw a rooster tail (white). He picked up a few of the same. I switched to a Yozuri Pencil minnow (silver/black) I started catching a few larger bass. And I picked up one about 2lbs. All told I caught 12 and Paul probably did about the same.
