Report:
I left Burr Oak with a sour taste in my mouth after wasting an hour and a half not catching fish. I got to my grandfathers house and decided to walk to the neighbors farm and hit a pond I have been eyeballing for a decade or more. I watched them build the ponds in the late 80's and then I moved away and never had a line in them. It was very close to dark, but I wanted to try. I threw a Leverage Buzzbait along the shore, because it was what I had on. I switched to a Yozuri Popper (gold/clear) I had a few hits. Not bass, but panfish. I switched to a Rebel Crickhopper (copper). And started nailing decent little bluegill and redear every cast. I finally ran out of daylight.
