Yum Largemouth
Shimano 2000FE, Fenwick HMX MH 6'6", Stren Super Braid 8lb., Leverage Buzzbait (georgia peach), Yozuri Popper (gold.clear), Yum Zellemander (green/black flake)

Report:
I had a few minutes on my way to Ohio. I started off throwing a Leverage Buzzbait (Georgia Peach/ Gold Blade). I picked up a nice 2lb.+ largemouth. I had a couple more little nips, but nothing strong, so I switched to a popper to keep the lure in the zone a little longer than a buzz. I immediately stuck a rockbass roaming the shallows by the dock. I got 4 more largemouth in the next 45 minutes. The weather was getting a little iffy and the wind was kicking the water around enough that my popper was not effective. I switched to a Yum Zellemander in green/black flake. I couldn't believe that I had a snag with the Texas rig I was throwing. Then the snag started swimming to my left. I gave it a tug just to make sure and held on. I was using super braid but only 8lb, so I didn't really have the muscle to drag him in. A nice little fight later and I was holding a 5lb. 3 oz. 21 1/4" Largemouth. Thanks to the guys loading their boat for a scale and tape. I could have dug up a tape on my own, but I know I didn't have a scale with me. That was enough for me. It started to drizzle, so I got a couple shots and took off. Good day for sure.
