Senkos - Watermellon w/ Black & Red Flake
Report:
I was fishing the buoy line by 6:45 this morning. It was pretty cold last night, and may have even rained a little out there, but I had high hopes... No such luck. I caught 2 bass, both on Senkos and both about 1.5lbs. The fishing might have been better but I re-spooled my spinning reel last night with green Maximum and was having an usually tough time with the line. Within an hour I had to pull of maybe 50 yards from birds nests... I wasn't happy. I think this line has changed since I last bought it, as I recall it having less memory, and being a bit tougher.... I started home by 8:30 or so when I was down to my last 30 yards or so of line...
I ran into the same fellow I saw there last week that was catching bass on Ikos. He was taking a nice 1lb Black Crappie off a 5" topwater bass lure. We chatted for a while, and I continued home. It was nice to get out and catch a couple of fish.
