Shimano 2000FE, Fenwick HMX 6'6" MH, Stren Super Braid 10lb., Sqworm Stick (candy), Leverage Lures 1/4 oz. Spinner bait (chartreuse/white)
Report:
Alan had to run to his nephews first communion, but we managed to get on to a nice private pond near his sister in laws house for about hour and a half. Alan stabbed a great fish with a Leverage Lures Spinner Bait (chartreuse/white) pretty much as soon as we go there. He leaned over for it, it whipped its head and snap. Was gone. I looked into its mouth and it was a toad. Nice fish. Too bad. I tied on a Sqworm Stick (candy) and started hitting some of the timber lying the banks and grass beds. Wham. I tore into a nice bass. Biggest of the trip so far. Got him in went just over 4lbs. Alan managed one more and we had to head back to the ramp. Short but worthwhile. Maybe we can get more time here later this summer or Turkey Season 06.
