Number of Anglers: 3 Water Clarity: Clear Weather Conditions: Sunny Number of Fish Caught: 1 Water Temp: 34 Air Temp: 55
Tackle Used:
1/64 oz spinners, Mepps 0 and Mepp 1 - red and gold did the trick - we watched kid haul in a massive rainbow hog (sorry no photo!) My buddy hauled in a respectable 12" rainbow.
Report:
Well the ice has melted from the rim of the lake exposing about 10 to 15 yards of open water. At the boat ramp you can find the deepest spot and go to town. I tried the old trick of casting out on the ice and draging the lure into the water but it didn't work - old fashion spinners got the job done.
