Report:
Well, I got to the lake just as the sun was getting on the water, so it was good timing. The guard was driving through the campgrounds, and the gate was open, so I drove back to the dirt lot and managed to not have to walk so far. While I was walking back, I saw a guy pulling a fish out of the water, but he was holding his poll with one hand at the base, and the other close to the first eye, maybe past it... I heard it snap. Folks, don't do that!! Your poles need all their bending capabilities when you pull a fish out of the water on them. As this guy learned, it's a sure way to break your rod when you'll pulling in a "big fish". He was fishing for crappie using an ultra-light setup, and got one, a nice 1.5-2.0 pounder, which is "big" for ultra-light. He took it pretty well, considering he'd bought it a couple of days ago. I took a picture, but won't have any pics up until I can get this roll developed... I still don't own a digital camera. =/

After that, I continued back to the buoy line. I stuck one 1.5 pound bass there on a Senko. He put up a good fight and had me thinkin' he was more like 3-4 before I could see him. After casting a few more times, and finally loosing a rig on the buoy line, I walked down to the next spot down, where I could fish a bit better. I managed to catch 3 more in a short time period, all between 1 and 2 pounds, and then it all stopped. I fished for another 2 hours, trying all sorts of tackle I brought along, but nuttin' was happenin'.
