Ugly Ugly. And look at that Gar!
Shimano 2000FE, Fenwick HMX 6'6" MH, Spiderwire 8lb Mono, lead jig with crawdad powerbait trailer, natural

Report:
Hit the banks of the mighty Sugar Tuesday. Got a late jump because I went to Pisgah and caught some Largemouth before stopping at Sugar on the way home. As I approached the river I could see all kinds of GAR swimming up and down the bank. There is a fresh water drain that runs in right where I was fishing and they were just loving it. Must have been 50. I have no idea what they eat, or if they would hit at all. I threw a spinner, and a couple pounded it, and tore my skirt to shreds, so I changed to small jighead with a crawdad powerbait trailer. Second cast one nailed it. They are some of the ugliest fish that I have ever handled. I did however get a bonus in the Tri State Fishing Club Multi Species Challenge for catching a species no one has ever caught. So it was cool. I managed one lousy bluegill after that, but can't say I blame everything else for leaving the area with the teeth those Gar are sporting.
