Fishing Report: Stone Arch, Indiana (03/13/05)
Posted By: WarEagle
Trip Date: March 13, 2005
Location Information:
Spot: Stone Arch
Country: United States of America
State: Indiana
Number of Anglers: 1
Water Clarity: Slightly Murky
Weather Conditions: Partly Cloudy
Number of Fish Caught: 0
Water Temp: 44
Air Temp: 37

Tackle Used:
6' BPS XPS MH, Shimano 2000FE, Spiderwire Mono 8lb., Rat L Trap (firecraw), Bitsy Jig Strike King Blue/Black, Venom 4" Tube Camoflage, and a partridge in a pear tree.

Report:
Cold Cold Cold, but like any other kid with a new toy, I had to play with it. I took out my new Shimano for a spin. I have to be honest, it was the most fun I have had not catching fish. I have obviously sold myself short in the past. This thing sings like a dove. It is ultra smooth and the 8lb. Spiderwire Mono I have on it flies off so smoothly I almost had to look down to make sure it was coming off the spool. I hope that you all know by now that if the rod and reel sucked that I would tell you. It does not. The 6' stick is a little short for my normal exploits, but as my report from Sugar Creek will tell you, it is perfect for my creek/stream adventures. Overcast and cold. I couldn't even scare up a bite on a Rat L Trap, Tube, or Jig. And don't think I didn't try. Until we get rain this spring, the water level will remain very low at Stone Arch as DNR tries to kill off the little Bluegill.
