Shimano reels with 17 lb. cxxx p-line using St. Crouix medium heavy 7 foot rods.
Report:
Hello everybody, fishing on Lake Palestine has picked up as waters have stabilized from recent run offs into the Lake.
Bigger female bass are cruising the shallows feeding as they ready themselves for the upcoming spawn. Some males have already made beds in some areas. Water temps have risen to 60 and over in some areas of the Lake.
Bass are hitting Senko type baits in watermelons and June-bug colors. Texas rigged creature baits in same colors have been working and Texas rigged tequila sunrise worms worked in 1- 3 feet. Bass were caught and brought to my boat over 8 lbs. with one going almost 9 lbs. Weather forecasters speak of another week of mild temps. this will keep the waves of bass coming to the banks.
