I was catching nothing all day when I noticed there were sunnies all around so I caught one and cast it out and left it sit there for about 15 mins. Next thing I know that bobber went under quicker then you can believe. I thought it might be a pickerel, being in pick waters. That bobber flew right out of this twenty foot long cove which was about 6 ft deep and headed to the shallows and thats when I saw the wake of this beast. Having a huge sunny on I let him swim for a while then railed the hook in this monster. My five and a half foot bait-caster bent down to the handle as 14lb test peeled of my reel. Needless to say the fish surfaced, and with no one around to witness I yelled, "That's why I came!" The fish was 24 inches long. No picture though. Just a memory and a chalk mark engraved on my rod which shows and reminds me about that bass. My buddies think I'm full of it, and cheated because I used live bait, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. John V. From South Jersey
