What a Bang! (Add to Favorites)

When the thunder and lighting come.

It was Monday the 18th at around 5:00p.m. I was sitting on the deck of my friends house over looking the lake on a hot and humid day. As I looked up at the sky I could see that a big bang was coming soon. At about that time 2 fishing boats went out on the lake to fish. And then it all happen real hard and fast. What had happened is this nasty storm rolled on over the lake. It rained so hard I could not even see the 2 boats in the water anymore. Then even worse came along with a bang then a nasty lighting storm. I can only bet at the time that those 2 boats made a fast dash to cover to the shore.
It was about 40 min before this storm moved past the lake. When the rain hide stop I could not see them 2 boats in the water. So I took my boat out to check out what was going on. What I seen were 2 boats filled with a bunch of water and the buckets were hard at work. When I talked to the fishermen they were saying that lighting had struck real close to there boats and they bailed to shore fast. I thank God they all made it safe.
Oh this is a bummer in a way for them bass are feed for a few days. There is only 1 thing to do for the next few days and that is to go trout fishing along the river bank. This may seem like a good idea, but I bet those trout got there share of worms and grubs for a week also. Oh well, life can stink when it comes to the weather I guess.
What I am trying to say is I love fishing at any course except when them big bad storms slam you hard. So if the storm is coming make certain your going to the local pub for a beer and not the lake for a rain bath.
