Trolling Motor Blues

The day the fish decide to bite, the trolling motor gives up the goat.
I started out around daylight in one of my favorite spots on the river, and surprisingly enough the fish were very active. I would catch a few and lose a few, but they were all really good fish. I was just starting to enter what I consider the prime area of this finger lake when all of a sudden the trolling motor went ka-put. Well I go to checking all my connections and after about an hour I decided to check the fuse link and sure enough the fuse was blown. Well, I always carry extra fuses on board, so I popped one in and bam it blew so I knew right then that the problem was deeper. Well I've been into this trolling motor a couple of times and always managed to get it goin, but on this particular trip, unbenounced to me, some of the parts wanted to go swimming. So needless to say, that was pretty much the end of what had started out to be a pretty good day....
