Great living around the Great Lakes
(Add to Favorites)
Posted Saturday, June 18th, 2005 to Fishing Stories
Some of the best fishing in the world all within 30 min of my house.
Within 30 mins. from where I live I'm blessed with being able to fish in some of the best fishing waters in Canada, if not the world. Lake Erie with it's monster smallmouth and walleye, Lake Ontario with it's salmon and trout, The Upper Niagara River (fed from Lake Erie) known for trophy muskie and loaded with bass largemouth and smallmouth alike and the Lower Niagara River (flows into Lake Ontario) with its awsome bass and steelhead fishing. Now throw in nothern pike and various other species, pan fish such as perch, crappie to huge carp and catfish in all these waters. Regardless if you fish from shore or troll the Great Lakes you will find as I said before some of the best fishing in the world is right in my backyard. So visit Canada and some of these areas and you won't be dissapointed. Remember conservation so the next generation can enjoy what we have taken for granted. Tight Lines.
