I am 45 years old and fish most of my life.T he biggest bass I caught up until this one was 6.5 pounds.I started fishing serious about 2 years ago.It was about 10 o'clock in the morning when my line just took off.Now being A little better fisherman than I used to be,I had my drag set just right, nothing I had ever caught before took my drag out.Well when I set the hook on this one my drag was going out.Lucky for me my first 11.5 pounder was caught in about 12 feet of water with not much grass so I did get him in the boat pretty easy.Well the rest of the story gets a little unbelievable,We forgot our stringer and did not have a live well so we put him in our cooler filled with water.I was so excited,I was thinking to my self all the people I had to show when I got off the water. When I just got done telling my fishing buddy nothing could ruin this day,in just about the same place I caught him the lid off the cooler popped open and the prettiest jump you ever saw right back into the water.
