Drifting Because I am Stupid

Ended up drifting in this pond because I didn't know what is on or off.
I got on the boat and as soon as I got there I was running up and down the shores with the trolling motor and had no problems. I stopped and was fishing in the back corner were we always caught fish. I got done there and was getting ready to move and the trolling motor wouldn't work. At first I thought the battery was dead and where we put the boat when we are done was clear on the other side of the pond. There was a slight breeze blowing and it was in my favor for like 2 seconds and I was just running up on shore and pushing off. It was getting dark and I just happen to look at the speed control of the trolling motor which is also the on off switch and I noticed it was off so I turned it on and it worked. The battery was not dead, I am just to stupid to think that could have been a problem. I don't think that will ever happen again because I have learned my lesson, I hope. I still had a good day of fishing and hope to have many more. Don't Forget, just one more cast can make or break your day. Good luck fishing members.
