Bass on a Wire

Casted over a fence wire and caught me one.
I had just got out on the boat and was running up the shore and I caught a fish like I have never caught one before. This pond is separated by an old electric fence and the two fences are connected with a wire over the pond. I hadn't had a bite yet and I was getting frustrated and forgot about the wire when I cast right over it and my mouse landed in the moss just off the shore. I started to reel it in and WAM, my first fish was on and I thought I was in trouble. I was hoping the fish would actually come off so I wouldn't get it hung up on the wire but it didn't. The fish stayed on so I reeled it up near the wire and it started to flop so I just pulled and the fish flipped over the wire and landed in the water from about 10 feet up. I thought for sure I was going to lose it with all the slack I had now but I reeled like a maniac and I kept it on. I am glad I didn't hurt the fish or loose my lure on that wire.
