A Scare

I heard a loud scream and had no idea what was going on.
One day me and my girlfriend were fishing out at some public ponds and the water was covered in moss and other weeds on the water and we couldn't find anything to work. So i grabbed my weedless mouse and was running it across the top of the moss and my girlfriend looked over and laughed at me. She couldn't picture a fish wanting to eat a mouse or why a mouse would be in the water. So the next cast i had a big bite on it but failed to set the hook. She seen it and her jaw dropped. So she begged me to let her use the mouse and so i did. I ended up walking further down the pond where i could no longer see her and it wasn't 5 minutes later and i heard a scream. I ran around the corner to see what was wrong and to my amazement she was dragging in a 3 pound bass. After i helped her drag it in and we got her picture and all that good stuff she just gave me a big hug and said thank you and that she wouldn't ever question my fishing techniques.
