Fish bite at the worst Times

I caught two catfish only when I was busy doing something else.
I went fishing a lot this week due to the beautiful weather. One of those days, I decided to go fishing for catfish. So I rigged up a nice fat nightcrawler and casted it out into a small lake behind our house. I waited for about five minutes without a bite, and decided to use my other pole to go fishing for some largemouth ( its not a good fishing trip unless you catch a largemouth!). Well about ten seconds after my first cast with my bass pole, I heard the bell on the tip of my pole ring rapidly ( you can buy these bells at any Walmart). And sure enough I reeled in about a Twelve pound channel cat, which is the biggest cat I ever caught. So I decided if the cats were biting I would just stick to catfishing. So I casted out another lively nightcrawler and waited for about ten minutes this time with out any bites. So once again I decided to go bass fishing, and sure enough on the second cast the bell rang again! I reeled in another 8 pound channel! So I kept fishing for catfish for the rest of the day and without any luck. So now I am convinced the catfish at my lake only bite when I am busy!
