Some Days are Better than Others!
(Add to Favorites)

Two days of panfishing, with completely different results!
Over my spring break I only had two chances to go fishing. One evening for about 3 hours until it got dark, and one afternoon. The first day I found a cove where there were TONS of baitfish. There were small LMB and lots of sunfish (I call them brim) swimming the area. I quickly fixed my line with a nightcrawler. I was fishing with a Daiwa UL reel on a Shakespeare UL rod with 8lb. Trilene XL Clear/Blue. I set the bobber at about a foot. Within a few seconds I had a fish on, and I caught them for three hours every cast.
I went out a few days later, it was about ten degrees cooler and I didn't have good bait (baby nightcrawler not even an inch long). I spent 4 hours on the pond and never caught a fish, I had only one nibble all day (I think it was a turtle). I guess some days are just better for fishing than others!
