Here's a fake fishin' story:

Well this fellow who had fished all his life was down at his fishing hole, a small creek bordering his property. He had caught some nice trout and bass during his days at the creek, and had once landed a 10-pound largemouth.

He was using a small spinnerbait in 5 feet of water, and not having much luck. The bass were in hiding, and the trout tired from a day of grabbing insects, and all that was nipping his spinner were the feisty sunfish.

He made one last cast, and his line stretched and his pole bent down. He set the hook and a fizzle erupted on the surface. As he drew the fish nearer, a long body and tail came splashing out, and a giant 9-foot cottonmouth came charging at the fisherman. In horror, he dropped his pole and ran for life.

The next day he cautiosly crept down to the hole and the sight that met him was the worst he had seen in years. All the fish in the creek were dead, and in the middle of the pool, lay the cottonmouth, belly up, with its mouth hanging open and venom still oozing out.

Two days later, the fisherman had found a new pool a half mile upstream, but only half as good as the old one.

One day as he headed out to his new spot, he decided to take a look at what was left of the mess at his other spot. To his astonishment, the pool was full of fat trout and bass, and bluegills were nipping insects on the banks. All the dead fish and snake were gone, without even a trace left behind.
