Lake Fork is as billed GREAT BASS FISHING!

4 day fishing trip yields 30 bass!
My wife and I took a trip to Lake Fork Texas. We took the boat out every morning and in the evening. We always caught 5-6 bass that usually weighed 2 - 4 pounds. We were there for 4 days and every day was basically the same. We thought it was a fun trip. The last day that we were there though I had the experience to catch the largest bass I have caught. We were on the lake before sunrise and always fished around a group of Lilly Pads that were close to the spillway. On the other side of the Lilly pads there was a sand bar. The water was about 2 feet deep around the sand bar. I was fishing with a Rapala Shallow Diver Blue and Chartrues in color. I think the thing that surprised me the most was that this bass hit my lure hard but it pulled down on the lure and did not jump out of the water like the 3-5 pound bass that I have caught before. I reeled this bass in without a lot of fight until I had it up to the boat. After a brief fight at the boat I lipped it and popped the lure out. We got the digital scales out and he weighed in at 9 pounds 6 ozs . My first thought was to mount him since he was the largest bass I had caught and was close to 10 pounds. We noticed as we were weighing him that he only had 1 eye which my wife claims is the only reason I caught him ! We then took some digital pictures of him, made sure he was alright and released him. I am glad I did. We will definitely go back to Lake Fork, It was fun catching over 30 bass in 4 days and hooking in to a large bass even if he only had one eye.
