Deer Hunting isn't Hard! (Add to Favorites)

I always thought deer hunting was easy. I was wrong.

Me and my dad, just like a lot of Saturday mornings, woke up at about 10 am and began to watch fishing or hunting shows. Well we decided on a hunting show. As I am watching, the hunter was talking about how he could barely move, and his heart was beating so fast, he could not hold his gun. I told my dad, "Deer hunting can't be that hard, I would not be shaking that bad". It turns out we were going hunting the next weekend in a field about 100 yards from my dad's house. We got our gear on and walked out to the blind about 45 min before the sun rose. It was complete silence and the sun was just starting to come up ( which by the way, if you have never been deer hunting, you should really go because it is an unforgettable experience). But anyways, my dad started to do the calls and all of a sudden, I heard twigs and the penetration of something through the light frost on the ground. If you have never been, I could not explain to you how fast my heart was beating and how hard I was shaking, and I had the gun! The noises started to get closer and faster and I could not see where it was coming from because it was behind us and our window was in the front. Finally the animal stepped out in front of the window. If I gave you a hundred guess's, you would not guess it. The animal was a fierce killer that was worthy of heart speeding, not. It was about a foot tall, black dog with it's tongue hanging out. Man I was embarrassed, I can not imagine what will happen when I actually see a deer.
But the lesson is that it's not as easy as it looks on TV, trust me!!
