One Big Bass Story

My fishing story when I caught my big bass.
On November 6, 2004 I went with my family to there Sunday School Party and it was at a private lake. So, I figured I'd bring my fishing pole and just try it out to see what was out there. Well after about an hour of getting some good bites I finally got one huge one, and then I thought there was nothing on the line so I started reeling back in slowly. When I started reeling in, I noticed there was still something on the line. So, the fish only pulled real hard once, and then I reeled him on in. Little did I know I had a 8 pound largemouth bass on the line. I was so excited it was awesome. I just got it back from the taxidermist and it looks great!! I have a picture of it rotating on the pictures on the home page of this site. I caught it on cheap $20 spinning reel and pole combo, using a good ol' purple rubber worm. I was fishing off of the shore is the crazy thing, usually when u catch a fish this big you catch it off a boat fishing toward the shore. It was great!!!
