It was in the afternoon, the water was crystal clear. my mom was in the cabin and I was on a little island throwing a night crawler at a clump of weeds that were submerged under the water. Then all of the sudden I saw a dark colored fish swimming around a patch of weeds. I casted my line out and with the second twitch of my rod, he struck. My pole bent almost clear down to my reel. He was huge! My drag was spinning off my reel. I called my mom over and she was amazed at what I caught. The mouth on that thing was huge. It was at least six inches around. My mom held the fish while I went to get a friend. When I got back my mom's hand was ripped up, and so was mine. After I got a picture of it, I let it go. I love bass fishing! I live for it and when I caught that fish my life of bass fishing changed.
