It was an early morning in late february. It was about 7:00 in the morning and i was fishing with my father. I was using a yellow rooster tail just basically reeling it in. And my father was using a top water rapala minnow plug 8 inches long. It was a little to early for topwater fishing i thought? I was fishing and all the sudden i was watching my father and a big splash came up, he was about four foot from the bank of the river and something hit that plug and almost threw my father in the river. He grabbed a hold of that plug like nothing, his belly rolled up in the water, and that bass's belly was 12 inches wide and 30 inches or more long no joke. He probably weighted in at 20 ponds or more. Then my dad set the hook and he snapped the line and took off with the plug. I couldn’t believe it .and it was a large mouth bass, weighing at a good 20 pounds or more.
