Me and my dad and uncle had been fishing all day at various private ponds with lots of big bass but no luck. It was getting dark and we hadn’t been there 2 minutes and my dad had hooked something -- his ugly stick was all bent up and he reeled in a 5 lb bucketmouth. Then just a few minutes later my ugly stick was all jacked up and I had an 18 inch 5+ lb largemouth too. So a few days later we went back to the same pond with an H&H spinnerbait and on a bad cast I caught a 7 lb largemouth. But I already had taken 2 big fish from a small pond, so I released it.
