It was a fall morning, in October 2001. We just got 5 dozen minnows like we always do. We usually caught crappie or small catfish, and the occasional bass. So as we were fishing my friend looked over at me and goes, “do you see that shadow swimming over there?” I looked, then saw it moving very slowly. It wasn't that big of a shadow but it was a decent sized fish. I cast the minnow over there, then before you know it about a 1 pound bluegill hit my line and I was totally freaking out.
Then about 5 feet before I got it in, a 9 pound 7 ounce largemouth bass hit it. As soon as it hit my bluegill it was on the shore because he hit it that close to the rocks. So I got the bass mounted going after the bluegill. Just thought I would share that.
Then the next day in school people called me c-bass because I was crappie fishing (c) then caught a bass (bass). (C-bass). LOL pretty funny stuff. Then later on my friend Thumm fell off into a tide pool and almost drowned, but I pulled him out with my pole. Thumm's a strange kid. I'm not even sure why we call him Thumm.
